Geo. A. Gottlieb & Co., Inc. was founded in 1934 by its namesake and original licensed real estate broker,George A. Gottlieb. Its primary focus, which continues today, is the investment, brokerage and management of small family owned real estate properties in the City of New York, currently headed by the father and son team of Milton and Peter Gottlieb.
Milton R. Gottlieb is a graduate of the Michigan State University School of Hotel and Restaurant Management. Coming into the business in 1954, Milton brought with him the expertise and people skills to work with small property owners in developing their properties into their full income potential. He was very active as chairman of the Board and later as President of Associated Hotels and Motels, Inc. from 1969 to 1973, an association comprised of the many smaller residential hotels located primarily in Manhattan. His uncanny ability today is unparalleled in the industry in maximizing your properties income, either in day to day operations or in marketing and selling to the highest bidder.
Peter M. Gottlieb is a Certified Public Accountant by profession. He graduated from Lehigh University in 1982, earning a BS in Economics. In 1992, he completed his Masters at Pace University. Since joining the company in 1994, Peter has been able to combine his expertise in accounting and taxation with operating and investing in small to medium size real estate properties. In negotiating a deal, it's one thing being able to bring together buyer and seller or lesser and lessee, but to make the numbers work is where Peter's expertise can help you analyze the deal to see if it is structured properly and to answer the ultimate question - did I make a profit.
Magaly (Maggie) I. Rodriguez is a 1984 graduate of the Katherine Gibbs School. Since joining the company in 1993 as office administrator, Maggie has brought to the organization an extensive background in real estate property management. Her invaluable experience in property management computer operations is a valuable asset to any organization. Maggie also serves as the office & apartment leasing coordinator, facilitates property maintenance and Landlord/Tenant relations.
